The issue is resolved, the import log is now available for all customers again.

The solution is now live for all customers. The import log will be displayed again at the beginning of next week.

A solution has been identified and will complete rollout by tomorrow morning if all goes to plan.

Investigating
The import / export logs and the status updates currently do not work properly. Periodic and manual updates are run as expected but the status (successful or failed) may not be accurate. Search etc. is not affected and will use the product data that was most recently imported.
To avoid further confusion access to the logs has been removed while we investigate the issue. Access will be restored as soon as possible.
